You may have noticed (if you are viewing the page from Turkey and have TTNet as an ISP or DNS prvider) that the video towards the bottom of this page does not show. This is due to some court in İstanbul finding youtube guilty because they were hosting a video with content insulting Atatürk.
I do not know how this can be called “justice” but the courts have once again made a fool of themselves. The presence of the video will be ignored by the society who is offended and therefore justice is done! Great, so if we removed all news about murders, terrorists etc, we can happily live on because they will all have been punished!
An application to youtube would have resulted in the removal of the contents in question. When will we ever learn?
Edit: Two days after this post, the courts have lifted the ban on youtube claiming that the video was removed. (it was removed BEFORE the ban was actually placed)
